Today is a day of packing up.

I am squeezing 2 weeks of fun and accumulation into our suitcases. It isn’t easy. Since we still have 3 weeks of Florida to come, the final pack up could get very interesting. The children may have to wear 13 layers of clothing on the plane ride home.

I am also trying to look at all the photos that I have taken through the days and record my thoughts, ideas and travel advice before they escape my memory. While a multi-day Hilton Head Island experience is in the works, I couldn’t help but snag these images of my little fellow. They made me smile. Hope they brighten up your day too.

A few weeks ago we went shopping. I can count on my girls to covet the endless choices in the shoe department. This time around it was Harry. After trying on a pair of Converse, he decided that he needed some “Summer Shoes.” As I pulled down a pair of bright blue ones, I was quickly reminded: “RED is my favorite color.”

Yes, yes it is.

He even chose a few outfits that would “look great with my red shoes.”

Yes, yes they do.

So here we are, it is summer and those red shoes keep showing up.

They are perfect for:

SWINGING

HANGING

SEARCHING

CLIMBING

STANDING (upside down)

And sometimes, when the swinging and standing and climbing and searching and hanging are done, this little boy needs to kick off his shoes and breathe.
