We were so lucky to spend the holidays with our extended family and in addition to Christmas and New Year’s and our anniversary, we were with our sweet niece and goddaughter for her fifth birthday. When it was finally time for dessert and we lit the candle she’d had a FULL day of celebrating on a cruise with cousins – which is terribly exhausting.
Lucky for her she has a crazy Aunt Jackie,
who likes to bake birthday cakes and follow her around with a camera just to get that perfect shot.
At age Five this little one is very serious about following the rules. It bothered her immensely that I would try to take her photo when she wasn’t looking. Everywhere we went she watched me out of the corner of her eye with great suspicion. Thankfully, once we hit the beach, she was mesmerized by the water and completely forgot that I was there.
